This course was developed in cooperation with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division for the specific needs of police Detectives and patrol officers.
Originally this workshop was designed for Law Enforcement Officers, but also serves the documentation needs of many different types of enforcement agencies.
Not only do they all require the correct photographic skills to achieve professional quality photographs. They also need to use the correct procedures for reporting and legal presentations.
Most of the time the photographs take by the “First on Scene” are the only ones taken.
Description: A very basic three hour workshop based on the needs of the police officers to record crime-event scenes with emphasis on the needs of first to arrive.
Topics Include: digital camera operation, techniques, and procedures for different events.
The workshop begins a Power Point presentation demonstrating techniques needed
to get the most out of your camera. In the second half they will be using their cameras
taking photos and using the techniques we have discussed. (backdrops and subjects set up in the class room.)
Instructional CD included with workshop.
Cost is $80 per person (10 min-15 max)
